Step back in time! On 5 Dec 2024, join SRT’s special steam train tour from Bangkok to Chachoengsao in honor of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s anniversary birthday! Explore Wat Sothon, Ganesha Park, & Baan Mai Market.
For those interested in a vintage experience, the Baan Mai Market—a 100-year-old riverside market—offers a unique look into local life and a wide array of street foods and souvenirs. The return train will depart Chachoengsao Junction at 4:30 p.m., arriving back in Bangkok at 6:10 p.m., with stops en route at Makkasan, Khlong Tan, and Hua Mak stations for passenger convenience.
Tickets will be available starting 5 November 2024, at 8:30 a.m. nationwide through the D-Ticket online booking system or at any train station in Thailand. Fares for third-class seats (standard) are 329 THB per person (adults and children alike) for a round trip. Premium seating options are available on the OTOP air-conditioned coach and the JR-West sleeper car, priced at 799 THB per person, which includes complimentary snacks and beverages for the journey.
